Promoting best practice for Oxfordshire's clubs
In Oxfordshire, we recognise that the people promoting and delivering physical activity and sport are our greatest asset. By supporting and developing the paid and volunteer workforce we can help make sure that everyone accessing activities has an excellent experience every time.
At Active Oxfordshire we are here to support coaches, leaders and activators leading sports and physical activity sessions as well as health and sports professionals who are promoting and advocating sport and physical activity to the public.
Our aim is to help coaches, clubs and organisations to continue the fabulous work they already do in keeping the county active but also to improve the experience of the inactive population and get people feeling the health and social benefits of physical activity and sport.
We send out a bi-monthly newsletter to clubs and coaches which is packed full of latest information and advice. To sign up for the newsletter please click here
How can Active Oxfordshire support your club?
There are a number of ways Active Oxfordshire can support your club, from different trainings, to advising on club governance.
In the past, we have supported clubs with writing funding applications, governance to ensure sustainability, and have run a number of training sessions to enable coaches to create safe environments for their club members, or adapt sessions to be fully inclusive for club members with special educational needs or disabilities.
